TEXAS — A Texas community is grappling with a tragic incident as 49-year-old Charles W. has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his 43-year-old wife, Adelene W., to death. The incident took place at the couple’s home early Sunday morning and was witnessed by the couple’s two young children, aged 8 and 11, as well as their aunt.
According to authorities, a distress call was made around 6 a.m., and upon arrival, deputies discovered Adelene had suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Charles fled after the attack but was apprehended at a nearby gas station, where he was found driving the victim’s vehicle.
Officials disclosed that Adelene had contacted 911 approximately half an hour prior to report that her husband had taken her car. Shortly after, one of the children called 911 during the assault. Law enforcement is investigating the incident further and working to gather evidence from the home.
