The victim told police that several young adults attacked him and threatened to shoot him after a verbal dispute escalated.
OKLAHOMA CITY — Six people were taken into custody after an assault at a fast-food restaurant and a suspect search on Monday morning in Oklahoma City.
At approximately 7:50 a.m., police responded to a reported assault at the Braum’s located on Northwest 17th Street near Classen Boulevard. The victim told authorities that multiple young adults jumped him and threatened to shoot him after a verbal disagreement.
Officers located the suspects’ vehicle near Southwest 16th Street and Western Avenue. The driver attempted to flee but got a flat tire, causing them to pull over.
A male passenger in the car fled on foot, prompting police to set up a perimeter to locate him. Authorities found him and brought him back to the scene.
Six suspects — three males and three females, ages 17 to 18 — were taken into custody. Police confirmed all six were involved in the assault at Braum’s.
No gun was found in the suspects’ possession.
