A Dallas Man With Dreams Of Being A Hollywood Power Player Is Now Headed To Prison. 37-year-old Ivor Jallah was trying to make it as a Hollywood director and screenplay writer.
Jallah and Turley were engaged in a healthcare scam, operating their pharmacies as a front. They allegedly submitted fraudulent claims worth a staggering $46 million to insurance companies, using the funds to support their extravagant lifestyle.
Jallah used the money to buy land, luxury vehicles, and more.
Federal investigators discovered that they had received approximately $41 million from insurance scams. These scams involved the payment of “marketers” who provided the personal information of insured patients, as well as the payment of doctors to fraudulently endorse prescription forms. Furthermore, ten more defendants have admitted their involvement in this prescription scheme.
Jallah received a 10-year federal prison sentence this week, while Turley is set to be sentenced next month.
