For the past year, couples and family members in southwest Oklahoma who hired Peyton Moore Photography to capture their cherished moments were left disappointed. Peyton Moore failed to show up for their photo sessions, leaving them without any photos, their money, and often without an explanation. In January of this year, a warrant was issued for Peyton Moore, and recently, Moore was arrested in Comanche County on multiple charges.
Last year, a Facebook user from Lawton, Oklahoma, shared their extraordinary encounter with Peyton Moore Photography, and many others joined in with similar tales. The majority of the narratives followed a common pattern: they arranged a photo session for their wedding or special occasion, finalized the contract, and submitted the necessary deposit.
Clients accused Moore of not showing up for contracted shoots, not providing photos or giving refunds.

Many clients who have worked with Moore have shared their experiences, revealing a pattern of unprofessional behavior. Some have reported that Moore failed to show up for their scheduled events, leaving them stranded without the services they had contracted. Others have mentioned that while Moore did take the photos, they were never edited or delivered to the families as promised. The lucky ones who did receive their photos had to wait much longer than anticipated. To add to the frustration, Moore has been accused of frequently promoting “sales” and “deals” for special occasions, only to never fulfill these offers.
A person who had the opportunity to work with Moore shared their experience on the public Facebook page, the Lawton Grapevine. They mentioned that they were fortunate enough to receive a refund after Moore failed to show up for the scheduled shoot.
“I was able to reach her via email and while she assured me she would show for our shoot…she didn’t…and somehow I was one of the lucky ones that got a refund from cashapp.”
Moore allegedly scammed families for their money multiple times and never showed up for the job.
Moore was arrested in Comanche County for obtaining money under false pretenses.
In December 2024, Moore received a warrant from Comanche County District Court for obtaining cash or merchandise through the use of bogus checks or false pretenses. Additionally, Moore was issued another warrant for the same offense on January 15.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Moore for driving under the influence. Moore was charged by the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office with the following offenses:

- Driving under the influence for the second time within 10 years
- Failure to maintain security
- Two counts of false pretense/bogus check/con game
At 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 28, Moore appeared as a former inmate on the Comanche County Detention Center website. Moore has been scheduled to make an appearance at the Comanche County District Court on Wednesday, April 16 at 9 a.m.
