As per the reports by Stars and Stripes, Colonel Wright, who is currently working at West Point, is being investigated for his alleged misconduct. The allegations against him include making inappropriate sexual comments towards cadets, giving alcohol to a cadet, and asking the cadet to keep it a secret. Furthermore, he is said to have disregarded an order to stay away from the women’s tennis team. Colonel Wright has pleaded not guilty to five charges, which involve behavior deemed inappropriate for an officer and providing false information.

West Point Colonel Accused of Inappropriate Conduct Providing Alcohol and Making Sexual Comments to Cadets
Between June 2023 and February 2024, several incidents of inappropriate conduct were reported against Wright. The allegations include providing alcohol to cadets during trips to Hawaii and Alaska, making sexual remarks to three cadets during a West Point to Syracuse, N.Y. trip, and attempting to persuade a cadet and a captain to lie about drinking alcohol during an investigation. West Point officials take these accusations seriously and investigate them promptly to protect cadets and hold responsible parties accountable. Col. Terence Kelley, a spokesperson for the academy, expressed their commitment to a fair and speedy resolution. Wright has opted for a jury trial, but no court dates have been scheduled as yet.
