HOUSTON, Texas — A deadly shooting in north Houston has left one man dead and police searching for a suspect.
According to the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of W. Rankin Road. The victim had just left a convenience store when an argument with several suspects escalated, leading to gunfire.
Authorities reported that the suspects were initially in a Honda Accord parked at the scene. Following the shooting, the victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two individuals in the Honda Accord were detained by police, but the alleged shooter fled in a separate vehicle, described as a gray Buick sedan. The suspect is described as a Black man with a thin build and medium-length locks.
