A dense fog advisory is in effect until Monday morning, with more cold temperatures on the way.
KOCO 5 Meteorologist Joseph Neubauer reports that the dense fog advisory will last until 11 a.m., and a cold front will move through on Monday. He adds that the advisory could be extended to central and southern Oklahoma.
Instead of rain, expect a large area to experience patchy fog and steady drizzle throughout the early to mid-afternoon.
Joseph says it’s likely to be a cloudy day, making it hard to see the sun and preventing temperatures from warming up.
Oklahoma City will reach a high of 50 degrees this afternoon, but the cold front will lower temperatures afterward. The actual high will depend on cloud coverage.
If the sun breaks through, temperatures could still reach 50, but it’ll feel chilly as the north wind ushers in winterlike conditions through Monday night.
Joseph also warns that the cold will be noticeable, especially in northern Oklahoma, where a light freeze and strong winds are expected tonight. Those winds will make the temperature feel well below freezing.
