A Pennsylvania man has been charged with illegal voting in two states during the 2020 presidential election.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania has filed five counts against Philip Pulley, 62, for fake registration, double voting, and election fraud. Pulley allegedly used a bogus Social Security number and address to register in Philadelphia during the 2020 election, despite already having voter registrations in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and Broward County, Florida. He then requested a mail-in ballot from Philadelphia while also voting in Montgomery and Broward Counties.
In the November 2022 elections, he voted twice in Pennsylvania, at Montgomery and Philadelphia addresses.
Before switching parties last year, Pulley had registered as a Republican in Montgomery County for several years. The Associated Press reported that he registered as a Democrat in Philadelphia in February 2020.
He voted as a Democrat in Philadelphia in 2021, 2022, and 2023, according to the publication.
After registering in 2018, Pulley voted in Florida several times.
For years, Republicans have celebrated voting fraud, especially in the 2020 election, when former President Donald Trump claimed that it was the cause of his electoral defeat over President Joe Biden.
