A tight-knit Maryland family is mourning the devastating loss of Karina Elisabeth Amaya, a beloved mother of two who passed away unexpectedly, her family announced.
People remembered Amaya of Germantown as a loving and loyal daughter, mother, and fiancée. She is survived by her mother, Lucy; her two young sons, Jeremiah, 6, and Adrian, 5; her fiancé, Sean; and her grandmother, Ana Maria, as well as her father, uncles, and cousins, according to a GoFundMe page set up for her family.
“Karina was a loving and kind soul who touched the lives of everyone she met,” her family said.
Loved ones are asking for the community’s assistance in covering funeral costs and providing Amaya with a respectful funeral.
“Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us during this difficult time,” the family said in a heartfelt plea on the campaign.
