Police are searching for the person who assaulted a young boy in a Queens subway station before threatening him and his mother with a knife.
What we know: According to police, the incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, on the F train platform at the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station in Long Island City.
According to investigators, the perpetrator approached the 7-year-old boy and his 37-year-old mother before pushing him to the ground.
When confronted by the boy’s mother, she shoved him again in the face before brandishing a knife and fleeing.
What we don’t know: It is unclear what caused the altercation and why police are sharing information about a suspect one month after the attack.
