Winning a seven-figure lottery jackpot will not stop a SC lady from doing this chore

According to a recent news release from South Carolina Education Lottery officials, a woman from South Carolina did not allow her previous failures in winning lottery jackpots to discourage her from participating in a second-chance event. Her determination and persistence eventually paid off as she won a whopping $1 million prize.

According to the release, the grand prize of the $1,000,000 Riches Second-Chance Promotion was won by a resident of Fort Mill. The lucky winner will be taking home a seven-figure sum.

Officials have reported that the lucky winner was informed through an email that her ticket had been chosen out of over 800,000 entries.

According to the press release, the winner exclaimed, “I read it twice and immediately shouted at my husband to read it too. I was jumping up and down with excitement!”

According to the lottery website, only the $1 million jackpot was awarded in the drawing held on May 9. Eligibility for the lottery game was granted to scratch-off tickets submitted after August 22, 2023.

Officials have revealed that a small but significant sign was all it took to inspire her to enter her losing ticket in the second-chance event.

According to the release, the woman noticed a small triangle in the corner of one of her lottery tickets, which stated that it could be used for an additional opportunity to win. Intrigued by this, she did some research and decided to join the Lottery’s Players’ Club. She entered the ticket with the triangle, along with others she purchased thereafter, as per officials.

Even though she received a substantial amount of money, the woman made a lighthearted comment about still having to do household chores.

“She said she still had to do laundry.”

She has already decided on one purchase she will make with the money she won.

She expressed her desire to maintain financial responsibility with her funds. However, she did mention that she plans on allowing herself one indulgence. She disclosed that she lost her engagement ring and intends to replace it.

South Carolina is one of the 11 states in the US that grants lottery winners the privilege to maintain their anonymity after winning. This means the winner can keep a low profile and enjoy some privacy. Other states that have similar laws include Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia.
