A GMC truck was later found about 25 miles away from the initial theft location. The police discovered the stolen GMC truck hauling a trailer that had also been stolen. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Lindsey Teresi from Cumberland, Maryland, was apprehended.
When she got arrested, her male accomplice in the stolen Frontier ran away while towing a trailer. However, authorities managed to locate the vehicle at a campground west of Romney just a few days later.
Johnathan Church, aged 43, from Goldsboro, Maryland, and Jarel Schaefer, also 43, from Denton, Maryland, had set up their living quarters in a stolen camper at the location. It is uncertain which of the two men Teresi belongs to, but this was the base of operations for the couple.
According to a report by WV News, police officers documented the theft of side-by-side vehicles, a trailer, generators, and a total of 11 firearms. Among the stolen firearms were illegal AR-14 rifles.
Church and Schaefer, who are both convicted felons and wanted fugitives in Maryland and Delaware, will not be seen by Teresi for a long time.
They faced charges of grand larceny, possessing stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm, conspiracy, and violating fugitive from justice laws.
