Victim identified after body found in Savannah River

Positive identification has been made of the body found in the Savannah River a week ago in Augusta, Georgia.

According to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office, Jermaine Pate, a 38-year-old resident of Georgiana, Alabama, has been identified as the victim.

The body of Pate was discovered in the Savannah River on the morning of July 19th.

According to the coroner’s office, they sent his body to the GBI lab for an autopsy.

Police have apprehended Tamiko Shynese Bolton, aged 36, for the murder of Elias Jkhael Delk on June 15th, which occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to Mark Bowen, the coroner of Richmond County, he received a call at 8:18 a.m. regarding the discovery of a body in the river located in the 600 block of Riverfront Drive.

Officials report that the body was discovered by a fisherman who promptly called 911 for assistance.

At approximately 8:50 a.m., the area was deemed safe and cleared of any potential danger.

According to the coroner’s office, there are still pending autopsy results.
