HP Hood LLC recalled five SKUs of 96 oz containers of LACTAID Milk on Saturday, September 20, due to allergic sensitivity linked to a potentially undiscovered contaminant.
The  United States Food & Drug Administration indicates that the specified items “may contain trace amounts of almond,” a component absent from their labeling. No illnesses have been observed; nevertheless, persons with an almond allergy have the potential for a significant or life-threatening allergic reaction.
Consumers can identify the recalled goods by looking for the code: 51-4109 P2 and the corresponding Best By Dates available on fda.gov. Products of concern were distributed in 27 states (shipped from September 9 to September 18), including retailers and wholesalers in Texas.
