Update as of 3/24/2025 : The body of missing 13-year-old Keimani Latigue has been located, and her father faces charges in connection with her disappearance.
Darnell Jones, 33, has been charged in Toledo Municipal Court with third-degree criminal abduction and murder, according to WTOL.
Police verified to WTOL that Jones is accused of physically abducting his daughter, who went missing on March 18.
The family confirmed to WTOL that they found Latigue’s body in a Toledo home.

A Toledo, Ohio family is appealing for the public’s assistance in finding 13-year-old Keimani Latigue, who has been missing since March 18.
Details about missing Toledo teen Keimani Latigue
Keimani stands at 5’6″, weighs 120 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.
The teenager’s grandmother stated that the Keimani had never gone away before. She characterized her granddaughter as a latchkey youngster, according to WTVG 13 ABC.
Keimani never showed up for school, and her phone has been going straight to voicemail.
Her grandma informed the publication that she returned home from work and found the door unsecured.
“It was Monday morning and when I came home, she wasn’t here. Of course, she was supposed to have been on her way to school. But, according to the way that the house was set up once I got here because it was in complete disarray. She wasn’t here so I called the school so I could talk to her and they said that she wasn’t there,” Dorothy Latigue said.
Family describes suspicious findings
Keimani had left her keys and glasses at the house. According to the teen’s grandma, the 13-year-old requires spectacles to see. She also stated that the stove was on, and she smelled gas.
“Other than her and I, it’s just two dogs in the house. So, who cut it on? So that was kind of suspicious. Her glasses in her underclothes were by the couch in the front. Her pajamas were on the dining room floor,” Dorothy Latigue said
The family has been distributing posters informing people that if they see or hear her, they should phone the police.
Keimani Latigue’s father claimed he saw his daughter late on Sunday night after she called and stated she was terrified to be home alone.
“I came over here because she said that it seemed like somebody was trying to break into the house. Me and my cousin sat over here for an hour and we left around 12:30 ish,” Keimani Latigue’s father said.
