The Kay County District Court has issued a warrant for Adam Wayne Perciful, a 45-year-old resident of Ponca City.

Perciful faces a felony charge of kidnapping and a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

According to the affidavit filed by the Ponca City police, an officer was dispatched on January 26 to investigate a domestic dispute involving a man and a woman.

She returned to the home on Jan. 26 to check if he had departed, but he showed up, prompting her to contact law enforcement.

Authorities have verified that Perciful was apprehended by the police as he was wanted in Oklahoma County on charges related to domestic incidents.

During the investigation, the female’s allegations were addressed in an interview with him at the Kay County jail.

According to police reports, he explained that his back surgeries have left him susceptible to bouts of pain. He went on to state that the woman in question was helping him out and had stored some bags from work in the attic.

According to Perciful, the female was knocked off her chair by one of the bags. He stated that he did not engage in any physical altercation with her.
