Two men arrested in North Houston after DEA Houston Division makes 'significant' drug seizure

The DEA initiated the investigation after receiving information earlier in the month, according to officials. During the subsequent search of the residence, law enforcement officials discovered a methamphetamine conversion lab within the premises.

DEA officials have described the labs, including the one discovered on Tuesday, as dangerous ticking time bombs that are prone to explode at any given moment.

Officials discovered a significant amount of illegal drugs inside the residence. They confiscated approximately 80 gallons of liquid methamphetamine, as well as 31 kilos of methamphetamine. It is estimated that 80 gallons of liquid methamphetamine could produce up to 400 pounds of the drug, which has an estimated street value of $2 million.

Two Mexican nationals, Sebastian Valencia (33) and Abraham Hernandez (34), have been arrested and accused of possessing and intending to distribute over 400 grams of illegal substances, according to authorities.

Authorities suspect that the two individuals were collaborating with drug cartels in Mexico.

The men are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
