Two individuals were apprehended by the League City Police Department in League City, Texas, after being involved in a theft incident at a local Target store. The suspects, identified as 26-year-old Azaria Walker from Stafford and 48-year-old Derman Singleton from Houston, are now facing multiple charges.
The incident took place on December 27, 2024, at around 1:51 p.m., when a Special Investigative Unit (SIU) Detective from the League City Police Department was notified about an ongoing theft at Target. The detective witnessed Walker, described as a black female, concealing merchandise in her backpack before getting into the passenger side of a white Mercedes Benz, which was being driven by Singleton, a black male.
League City Patrol Officers provided assistance in stopping the vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Walker and Singleton had also committed a theft at Home Depot in League City. They had concealed power tools valued at over $6,000 in a vanity box. Additionally, Walker was found to be in possession of narcotics and personal identifying information. Both suspects were apprehended without any resistance.
Walker is facing charges including Theft >=$2,500<$30K, Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 >=1g<4g, Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information <5 Items, Theft >=$100<$750, and two Harris County warrants, with a combined bond amount of $61,500. On the other hand, Singleton has been charged with Theft >=$2,500<$30K, and his bond has been set at $60,000.
