Two individuals in their teenage years were victims of a shooting incident that occurred within a bodega on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Sunday, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Two teenagers were injured in a shooting incident that took place on Amsterdam Avenue between 91st and 92nd streets around 7:45 p.m., as confirmed by authorities. One of the victims, a 17-year-old boy, sustained a gunshot wound to the foot, while the other 17-year-old boy suffered from gunshot wounds to his stomach, according to the police.
According to sources, the suspect was dressed in a black jacket and black sweats when they made their escape from the bodega towards Columbus Avenue.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Police have confirmed that both victims were transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
