President-elect Trump took to social media on Christmas Day to express his strong disapproval of President Biden’s decision to commute the death sentences of 37 individuals. In a lengthy post, he unequivocally told them to “go to hell.”
In a recent post on Truth Social, former President Donald Trump expressed his strong disapproval of the pardons granted by President Joe Biden. Trump highlighted the alarming fact that among the recipients of these pardons were 37 individuals who had committed heinous acts of violence, including murder, rape, and looting. Trump emphasized his astonishment at the leniency shown towards these individuals by Biden.
“I won’t be wishing a Merry Christmas to those fortunate ‘souls’, but instead, I’ll simply say, ‘go to hell!'”
President Biden took a significant step on Monday by granting clemency to 37 individuals who were previously on federal death row. Their sentences have now been commuted to life in prison. This decision brings about a significant change in their lives and marks a departure from the previous approach to capital punishment.
Trump has consistently criticized the decision.
In his Wednesday statement, Trump also addressed foreign relations with China, Panama, Canada, and Greenland. He claimed that China’s soldiers are “illegally” stationed at the Panama Canal and expressed his desire to regain U.S. control over it.
“Merry Christmas to everyone, including the amazing soldiers of China who are currently overseeing the Panama Canal. It’s worth noting that the construction of this canal cost us 38,000 lives over a century ago. It’s quite interesting how the United States continues to invest billions of dollars in repairing it, yet has no say in any matters related to it,” Trump expressed.
He further stated, “Moreover, Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada should take note that the citizens’ taxes in their country are excessively high. However, if Canada were to be integrated as our 51st State, their taxes would experience a significant reduction of over 60%. Additionally, their businesses would witness an immediate doubling in size, and they would receive unparalleled military protection, surpassing any other country worldwide.”
“We will also continue to prioritize our presence in Greenland, as it is crucial for our national security. The people of Greenland have expressed their desire for the United States to be there, and we fully intend to honor that request.”
