Just three days ago, a record-breaking heatwave caused almost a dozen individuals to require medical attention due to heat-related symptoms at a town hall event held by Donald Trump in Arizona. Despite the sweltering conditions, Trump made light of the situation during a rally in Las Vegas, joking that no one seems to worry about his well-being.
“He exclaimed in frustration, ‘They never mention me! I’m up here sweating like a dog,’ and continued, ‘The Secret Service said we have to make sure everyone is safe. I said, “What about me?” We never thought of that. They don’t think about me even though I’m working my ass off. I’m putting in all the hard work.'”
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, temperatures soared up to 100 degrees in Vegas on Sunday. During an outdoor rally, a person collapsed, causing the concerned individuals around her to shout for medical assistance. A Secret Service agent immediately rushed over to assist.
Moments earlier, the former president, dressed in a sports jacket and a red MAGA hat, commented, “It’s 110 degrees, but I don’t feel it.”
According to local fire officials, 11 people were hospitalized in Arizona due to medical incidents. These individuals had been waiting in the sun for hours in order to see Trump speak. Thankfully, the hospitalization was precautionary in nature. In light of this incident, the Trump campaign took swift action to better prepare for their event in Vegas. They hired additional medics, arranged for thousands of water bottles, and set up misting fans and cooling stations around the venue, as reported by the Associated Press.
As the scorching heat took its toll on the crowd, the ex-president urged anyone feeling its effects to seek assistance without hesitation. He assured the audience that there were people around who could provide immediate support. “If anybody gets tired, you let me know,” he said, “And if anybody goes down, if you start going down, we have people. They’ll pick you up right away. They’ll throw water.”
During the rally, the former president frequently spoke off the cuff and repeatedly expressed his frustration with the malfunctioning teleprompters.
In keeping with his routine, Trump once again mentioned his “J6 warriors” and commended them for their courageous actions in storming the U.S. Capitol on his behalf.
As he reflected on the events, he couldn’t help but acknowledge that those who were involved were not just warriors, but rather, victims of a flawed system. He couldn’t help but point out the irony of the situation where the police instructed them to enter a situation that was a setup from the start.
On Sunday, Trump expressed his disappointment by exclaiming “A disgrace, a disgrace.” He specifically targeted Jack Smith, the special counsel who is prosecuting him for federal charges of mishandling classified documents, and went on to refer to him as “a dumb son of a bitch.”
According to the statement, the proposed plans cannot be executed by Biden as he failed to deliver on the promise of Student Loan Forgiveness. The assertion highlights that Biden is all talk and no action.
Donald Trump held his first rally in Nevada, a crucial swing state, after being found guilty. He used his conviction to launch a fundraising campaign, which he proudly boasted about during his rally on Sunday.
According to him, his campaign and the Republican National Committee raised an unprecedented $141 million in May, making it the largest fundraiser in a week’s time. He also mentioned that a significant chunk of this amount was donated to him within the first 24 hours after the New York verdict.
On Sunday, reports revealed that Trump was expected to participate in a pre-sentencing interview with a probation officer on Monday via virtual means. The hush money case is slated to conclude with his sentencing on July 11th.
