Today in Alabama, we can expect temperatures to soar once again into the 90s, with some areas possibly reaching or even surpassing the 100-degree threshold.
According to the National Weather Service, we can expect more days of scorching upper 90s on both Monday and Tuesday. While the odds of a refreshing shower are not zero, they are on the lower side.
According to the weather service, a relatively mild “cold” front is expected to arrive in the state later today. There is a possibility of scattered showers or even a thunderstorm in parts of north and central Alabama.
The upcoming front won’t bring any cooler air with it. The weather report for Monday predicts scorching temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s, and it’s even possible to see triple-digit weather.
According to the weather service, some areas in south Alabama may experience rainfall on Monday as the frontal boundary moves southward and the sea breeze penetrates inland.
Tuesday’s heat may be even worse than what we experienced before.
It appears that Wednesday will continue to be scorching, with a slight decrease in temperature by a degree or two in certain regions.
Rain chances are expected to increase for certain areas of Alabama on Wednesday, with a possibility of higher chances continuing into Thursday.
Thursday may end up being the “coolest” day of the week, with temperatures hovering around the lower end of the 90s.
According to the weather service, there will be more highs in the mid-90s for Friday and Saturday.
NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center predicts a high probability of above-average temperatures for July, following the trend of the current month where temperatures have remained consistently higher than usual for June.
