Three charged in drive-by shooting

Sheriff’s deputies in Ripley County, Missouri, arrested three men suspected of shooting at a house while driving by in a car.

Gunnar Hill, Jordan Sumner, and Gauge Bissette, all from Doniphan, face the following charges:

Investigators revealed that on December 2, the three men drove to the victim’s home and “fired repeatedly into the residence” from Sumner’s vehicle.

A witness told authorities that the men knew they were driving to the house to shoot at it. At least two people were inside at the time, and 11 rounds hit the front of the house, causing over $1,000 in damage.

After the shooting, the witness said Hill “threw the spent casings out” of the vehicle’s window.

On December 4, investigators interviewed the men at the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office. Bissette admitted to being in the vehicle during the shooting. He stated that Sumner and Hill each fired pistols at the house and that he had concealed the pistols before returning them to Sumner and Hill on December 4, according to court documents.

The three men have pleaded not guilty and remain in custody without bond, awaiting their next court appearances.
