With air conditioning units working non-stop, people of Texas are seeking refuge from the blazing heat as much as possible. However, other regions are also struggling with similar conditions, aren’t they?

Summer is the season when temperatures soar high in almost all states. However, there are some states where the heat is more unbearable than others. Texas is one such state where the summer heat can be quite intense.

It’s true – there are indeed states in the United States that are situated at higher elevations than Texas. However, there aren’t too many of them!

How Bad Is A Texas Summer Compared To Others In The Nation?

Ranker recently conducted a survey to determine the top ten states that may not be the best places to spend the summer months, based on voting data from 500 of their readers. As we seek to find out where Texas stands on this list, let’s take a look at the results.

Louisiana took the top spot as the number one overall state, surprising many who may have guessed Texas would be at the forefront. Despite being situated right next to Texas, Louisiana was able to secure the coveted position.

Unfortunately, Texas ranked number five on the list, still within the top ten. Alabama, Arizona, and Mississippi ranked higher than Texas. However, we can hope for some rain to improve our ranking.
