A 26-year-old man named Jesus David Medrano Grimaldo has confessed to the distribution of liquid methamphetamine, as stated by U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani. It has been revealed that Grimaldo had the intention of selling approximately 10 kilograms of this illicit substance.
Law enforcement officials witnessed Medrano as he placed a jug containing a liquid substance into another person’s vehicle. The substance was later confirmed to be methamphetamine, weighing approximately 10 kilograms. Chief U.S. District Judge Randy Crane accepted Medrano’s admission of guilt, and his sentencing has been scheduled for February 3, 2025. Medrano could potentially face a life sentence in federal prison and a hefty fine of up to $10 million. He will remain in custody until his sentencing date.
The investigation was carried out by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Cahal P. McColgan leading the prosecution of the case.
