Two Texas Highway Patrol Troopers were injured early Thursday morning when a pickup truck struck them as they were assisting a disabled car on Interstate Highway 45, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The event happened around 6:40 a.m. around the 235-mile marker. The troopers were outside their patrol unit when the pickup truck crashed with the car and subsequently struck them.
Both policemen were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the pickup truck driver was unscathed, according to the agency.
