A 16-year-old was shot in the leg on Saturday night after a drug deal went wrong in the Willowbrook area of northwest Houston. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on North Gessner Road, where the teenager was attempting to sell narcotics.
According to the Houston Police Department, the transaction quickly turned violent when the other party involved robbed the teen and shot him in the leg. Lt. Riley from HPD confirmed, “That transaction did not go as he planned.”
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries. Police are currently interviewing witnesses and the victim as part of their investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Houston Police Department.
