The Liberty Police Department has issued arrest warrants in connection with the shooting death of Christopher Lynn Pilgreen, 37, of Hull, who was found dead outside Outlaw Jacks bar at 3216 Beaumont Ave. in Liberty late Thursday night. Police responded to a 911 call just before midnight on December 12, discovering Pilgreen lying face down on the concrete. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In the early stages of the investigation, Liberty PD released photos of two persons of interest and sought public assistance in identifying them. By late Friday night, December 13, the case saw a significant breakthrough with the issuance of arrest warrants. Christopher Jamal Wickliff has been charged with Murder, a first-degree felony, while Crystal Nicole Salinas faces a charge of Failure to Report a Felony. The arrest warrants were issued by Judge Chap Cain of the 253rd District Court.
The Liberty Police Department expressed gratitude to the public for their tips and to partnering agencies, including the Liberty County District Attorney’s Office, Dayton Police Department, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the media, for their assistance in advancing the investigation. The case remains active, and authorities continue to encourage anyone with additional information to come forward.
