SLED searching for escaped Tennessee inmate last seen in SC

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is on the lookout for an escaped inmate from Tennessee last spotted in South Carolina.

Billy Reed Fletcher, 43, broke out of the Carter County Detention Center in Tennessee on June 20, 2024, according to SLED.

Fletcher was last seen on Monday, June 24, leaving a Walmart on White Horse Road in Greenville County.

SLED described Fletcher as standing 6’2″, weighing about 230 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

If you see Fletcher or have any information about his location, please contact Crime Stoppers of Greenville right away.

SLED advises the public not to approach Fletcher and to call 911 in an emergency.
