Shawnee man’s death results in sentencing of Johnson County teenager

Upon receiving a call about an individual on the ground near Johnson Drive and Neiman Road, the Shawnee police immediately responded. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was none other than Rogers, who had been noticed by a passerby while they were walking to their car.

Last March, a judge sentenced Fernando Reyes-Lara, who was 19 years old at the time, to over four years in prison for his involvement in the crime.

According to court records, 18-year-old Sabrina Clark has been sentenced to juvenile incarceration until she reaches the age of 22 for her involvement in the murder of Rogers.

In August, Kyleigh Guzman, who is 18 years old, will be sentenced after pleading guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated robbery.

In July, Fernando Gonzalez-Prado, aged 18, will appear in court to face charges of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.
