Additional court hearings set for Walmart shooting case, conflicting motions filed regarding evidence and discovery

The State of Texas case against the 2019 Walmart shooter, who was convicted federally, will have two new hearings scheduled in El Paso, Texas.

According to court records, a Motion for Discovery has been scheduled for October 31st in Judge Sam Medrano’s 409th District Court for the case of State of Texas vs Patrick Wood Crusius.

A new hearing has been set for this Thursday as a Motion for Continuance. According to El Paso Matters, ABC-7 news partners, the prosecution has requested additional time before the discovery motion is addressed to look into possible inappropriate communications between the judge and defense attorneys.
