Although this is not expected to be a severe weather event, there is a possibility of localized flooding due to the slow movement of the rain. For those attending the Birmingham Bowl, be prepared for periods of rain with temperatures ranging from the lower 50s to the lower 60s.
On the weekend, there will be showers persisting intermittently throughout the day on Saturday. Later in the evening, there will be a round of heavier rain accompanied by a few strong to borderline severe storms, primarily occurring on Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Although the severity of these storms is expected to be relatively low, some of them may produce gusty winds. The rainfall will taper off during the day on Sunday. Despite the rainy conditions, the weather will remain mild with afternoon temperatures reaching the 60s.
