According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Jeury DeJesus-Rodriguez, a 25-year-old employee at the Marshalls store in Paterson, was caught taking multiple clothing items into the employee bathroom. He then proceeded to remove the packaging and price tags.
According to Valdes, he left the store without paying for the clothing, which had a combined retail value of $66.97.
DeJesus-Rodriguez, without any trouble, was apprehended on Thursday, Aug. 22, in Totowa, New Jersey, by the diligent members of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Public Integrity Unit. He now faces charges of third-degree Official Misconduct and the disorderly persons offense of shoplifting.
