Police said a woman was hit by a train while talking on her cell phone

According to the Cincinnati police, a woman was struck by a train while talking on her cell phone as she walked along the tracks on Monday morning.

The incident on West North Bend Road near Van Kirk Avenue in Carthage was reported at around 2 a.m.

According to the conductor, he immediately dialed 911 upon hearing what he believed was the sound of the train colliding with a deer.

Police reported that the woman sustained a facial injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

According to their statement, they expect her to make a full recovery.
