Police respond to second shooting at the same address in three days

A shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis left a man injured on Monday night.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan police reported that the incident occurred at the Covered Bridge apartment complex in the 6600 block of Covered Bridge Trace at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

Upon arriving at the apartment, the officers discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

According to police, witnesses are actively cooperating with the investigation and have reported that the shooting was a targeted attack. Investigators suspect that a disturbance or argument may have occurred prior to the violent incident.

The authorities summoned aggravated assault detectives to investigate the incident. It’s worth noting that IMPD had already been called to the same address on Saturday evening for a reported shooting.
