Police have reported that two teenagers were discovered deceased in the garage of a residence in Chandler, Arizona, early on Tuesday morning.
In the early hours of Tuesday, people approached an officer near N. Arizona Avenue and E. Ray Road, seeking a welfare check for Romeo Elias Alvarez, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, according to Chandler police.
Alvarez, who recently graduated from Dobson High School in May, had the honor of delivering a speech at his commencement ceremony.
The identity of the 17-year-old has not been revealed by officials.
The detectives are currently awaiting the official cause of death as determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
