A missing Houston man’s body was found on December 31 after he was reported missing on Christmas Day, according to Kenner police.
Police reacted to a report of a body floating in the water at the Kenner Boat Launch in Louisiana and identified the man as 79-year-old Charles Veith from Texas.
Authorities said Veith was spending the holidays with family, and they have not yet found his vehicle, a grey Ford Edge with a Texas Knights of Columbus license plate.
According to law authorities, there was no evidence of foul play at the location.
The Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office has seized control of Veith’s body for autopsy.
An investigation is ongoing.
