The search for the missing individual is still ongoing.

We made an error in our previous report about the arrest in the Toccoa, GA shooting case. We mistakenly reported the wrong name. The correct name of the person arrested is Christopher Lee Lacy, who is 37 years old. We apologize for any confusion that our previous report may have caused.

The GBI charged three individuals with various offenses including Zatorian Y’Deetris Lacy, a 21-year-old from Toccoa, GA, who was charged with misdemeanor obstruction and disorderly conduct. Christopher Rentrell Lacy, a 28-year-old from Toccoa, GA, was charged with false statements, and Shane Ladarious Lacy, a 20-year-old from Toccoa, GA, was charged with false statements as well. Additionally, Larquavious De’Shyne “Shyne” Colbert, a 22-year-old from Toccoa, GA, is wanted by law enforcement for aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and discharge of a gun near a public highway, with warrants issued for his arrest.

On June 29, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Toccoa Police Department requested the assistance of the GBI in their investigation of a shooting.

Over the weekend, Toccoa Police Officers received a call regarding a shooting victim at Stephens County hospital. The victim has since been transferred to another hospital and is currently receiving medical treatment.

After a dispute, the victim was shot at a residence on West Whitman Street, as revealed by the investigation.
