Anjuan Mosby, aged 43, is currently facing multiple charges in connection with the tragic death of Michelle Hampton. According to the authorities, Mosby and Hampton were acquaintances.
A man has been arrested and charged in the kidnapping and death of a Clayton woman, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Anjuan Mosby, 43, is facing an overwhelming total of 20 charges, which include first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, two counts of robbery, eight counts of armed criminal action, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Additionally, authorities have stated that he is also being charged federally for kidnapping resulting in death.
Mosby was taken into custody by the police and is facing charges related to the killing of Michelle Hampton. The incident took place on Wednesday when Hampton was abducted in Clayton. Tragically, she was discovered hours later in St. Louis, fatally shot.
According to police, the suspect and victim are believed to have had a prior connection, although the nature of their relationship has not been disclosed.
The family recounted the terrifying experience of pursuing Michelle’s car, as they observed a masked gunman inside her vehicle, with another man in a truck tailing closely behind.
Mosby will be transported to the St. Louis City Justice Center, according to the police. A judge has issued a no-bond detention order for Mosby.
A court appearance for Mosby has not yet been scheduled.
