Police are interviewing a child after an adolescent was tragically shot at Brownsville, Brooklyn’s NYCHA building

A child is being questioned by the police following the tragic shooting and death of a 14-year-old boy at a NYCHA complex in Brooklyn.

The investigators have revealed that the young boy sustained a gunshot wound to his chest at approximately 10:30 a.m. The incident took place at the Howard Houses on Osborn Street in Brownsville.

He was quickly transported to Brookdale Hospital by first responders, but unfortunately, he did not survive. The police found a gun at the location.

According to a police source, the individual in custody is a family member of the victim.

The investigation is still in progress.
