Police: 28-year-old New Jersey Man Allegedly Molests A Minor While Supplying Him With Drugs

A New Jersey man was arrested and charged this week for a series of alleged sexual assaults against a child. The authorities claim that drugs and alcohol were involved in the incidents.

According to a release from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Ronal P. Vasquez, a 28-year-old resident of Ridgefield Park, is being charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Garfield Police Department became aware of Vasquez’s behavior on December 29 and promptly reported the information to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. As a result of their investigation, multiple instances of alleged abuse were uncovered.

Law enforcement accuses Vasquez of sexually assaulting a Garfield minor, aged 13 to 16, and of supplying marijuana and alcohol. Their investigation also revealed that Vasquez sexually molested the same youngster, under 13, twice more in Lodi and Passaic.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office charged Vasquez with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, and three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

After his arrest in Ridgefield Park on Tuesday, Vasquez will stay in the Bergen County Jail until his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.
