On Tuesday, the plea agreement was reached, which resulted in the resolution of charges for both murders and possession of a deadly weapon in a penal institution. As a result, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and received additional prison time.

National Domestic Abuse Awareness Month in Houston area starts off with challenges

The systemic failure that led to Caitlynne’s tragic death has left the victim’s family members, including her mother Melanie Infinger, deeply saddened. Infinger, grieving the loss of her daughter, described Caitlynne as a hero for standing up to her assailant, believing that it would be the end of the ordeal. As she mourns her daughter’s passing, Infinger also calls for reforms within the system.

To provide comfort to a grieving family who had suffered tragically as a result of domestic violence, Assistant District Attorney Mary McFaden and ADA Lindsey Bondurant skillfully handled the case.

The sentences for Guajardo will be served at the same time, providing a measure of justice for the devastating loss of Caitlynne and her unborn child.
