Delaware State Police have arrested two people on murder charges related to a death investigation in Dover.
On Thursday, troopers were dispatched to the 13000 block of Wyoming Mill Road to conduct a welfare check on a resident following a report from a healthcare institution that raised concerns about the resident’s safety and well-being. Troopers arrived and discovered the victim, 77-year-old Lynda Carson-Fizer, who had died from bodily injuries. The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit was called in to handle the investigation.
The ensuing inquiry found that the victim’s acquaintance, 38-year-old Brandon Holland, reportedly assaulted him after an argument on March 17th. Holland and a second suspect, 43-year-old Edward Jobes, exited the apartment, leaving the victim unable to care for herself or seek medical attention due to her injuries.
Holland and Jobes were detained on Sunday for second-degree murder. Holland was also charged with criminal contempt.
Both were subject to a $1 million cash bond.
