Oregon and California enforce firework regulations; violators in CA could incur a $50,000 fine

Oregon, California set firework regulations; violators in CA face $50,000 fine

Oregon and California have introduced safety measures ahead of the Fourth of July. Below are the guidelines detailing which fireworks are permitted and prohibited in both states, along with the penalties for non-compliance.

Oregon

Using fireworks that shoot into the air, explode, or behave unpredictably is prohibited. If fireworks you or your child use cause damage, you may be responsible for covering fire suppression costs. Currently, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, and Lake counties have a “high” fire danger level, while Curry County’s danger level is “moderate.”

California

In Siskiyou County, fireworks are prohibited in unincorporated areas.
