One of the Best 15 Lakes in America is Located in Washington

The Pacific Northwest is a diverse region that boasts various climates and geography for visitors to explore. From the untamed beaches of the Pacific Ocean and the neighboring rainforest to the rugged coastal mountains, the region offers a range of outdoor adventures. The Cascade Mountain range, home to majestic volcanoes such as Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, and the recently active Mt. St. Helens, dominates the landscape. On the eastern slope of the Cascades, a unique and dry ecosystem thrives, providing fertile fields for farmers to cultivate crops that feed the nation and the rest of the world.

Consider visiting the North Cascades

The North Cascades National Park has earned the moniker “Alps of North America.”

Fodors.com recently announced their top 15 lake beaches in America, and the stunning Lake Chelan in Washington made the list.

Tens of thousands come here every summer.

Lake Chelan, located just three hours away from the Seattle metro area, is a popular destination for Puget Sound residents and visitors alike. With over 300 days of bright sunshine year-round, there is never a bad time to visit. According to the region’s tourism website, Lake Chelan offers access to over 50 miles of lakeshore for visitors to explore, including hiking trails and popular vineyards. Whether you’re looking for a quaint winery, cozy coffee shop, or high-quality locally-owned restaurant, Lake Chelan has it all. And if you’re in the mood for world-class mountains and hiking opportunities, the choices are seemingly endless.

I absolutely love visiting the two Lake Chelan State Parks. They hold a special place in my heart and are definitely my go-to destinations for a perfect vacation.

Bring your boat, waterski, or standup paddle board and enjoy the moorage facilities at this park. Their sandy beach is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and creating lasting memories with your loved ones. After a fun-filled day in the sun, head back to your campsite and relish the experience.
