Oil worker in Mississippi passes away following a fall from a mobile well tower

A worker was killed after falling from the top of a mobile well tower in Mississippi.

Simpson County deputies stated that they received a call from Challenger Deepwell Servicing shortly after 6:30 p.m. on June 4. They claimed the worker fell because the mobile oil well tower tipped over.

Jackson police called for the evacuation of Hotel O. Deputies arrived at the Highway 28 location. They claimed the 24-year-old male from Columbia, Mississippi, died on the scene. He has not been identified.

WJTV 12 News contacted the company about the event. They made no comment.
