Starting tomorrow morning and running through Sunday night, the Ohio State Highway Patrol is set to increase their patrols for the holiday, not only on the 4th of July. This move is aimed at ensuring the safety of everyone on the roads during this festive period.
It is anticipated that tomorrow’s traffic will experience a surge as people head towards their destinations, and the same is expected for Sunday when they will be returning home.
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a common occurrence on the 4th of July.
On the roads, various behaviors will be monitored by authorities.
“We encourage motorists if you are going to partake in the 4th of July festivities to be responsible, find a designated driver, taxi service or any other ride share service that may available in your area. The primary factors attributed to these crashes are alcohol consumption, drug use, and excessive speeding.
