Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced that a convicted Indiana felon has been indicted by a Hamilton County grand jury on three felony charges related to the alleged theft of over $105,000 from 14 individuals in Ohio.
Yost revealed that Roger Glenn Gray, a 52-year-old resident of Aurora, Indiana, has a long history of criminal activities. In 2003, he was convicted of felony theft in Indiana, followed by two felony convictions in 2012 for stealing from the elderly in Hamilton County, Ohio. Additionally, he was convicted of misdemeanor theft in Hamilton County in 2014.
According to Yost, he is currently dealing with a misdemeanor theft charge and a warrant for felony theft in Hamilton County.
From April 7, 2022, to April 21, 2024, All Around Concrete’s owner, Gray, is accused in this indictment of committing a fraud scheme that targeted 14 Ohio residents, resulting in a total loss of $105,746.
Yost accuses Gray of accepting payments for concrete and home improvement projects but failing to perform the work, or only doing a minimal amount. Gray is also alleged to have not provided necessary materials and refused to issue refunds.
According to Yost, individuals often believe they can deceive the system to gain an advantage, but this is a familiar tactic. Yost asserts that the lawbreakers will continue to be charged until they understand that exploiting Ohioans by breaking the law is not acceptable. Yost stated, “We’ll continue to prosecute individuals until they realize that breaking the law and exploiting Ohioans is not a viable option.”
According to Yost, Gray is confronted with a series of severe charges including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity (F2), theft by deception (F4), and theft beyond the scope (F4).
