The NYPD is aggressively seeking information on an assault and robbery that occurred on a southbound “2” train near the Freeman Street Subway Station in the Bronx. According to an NYPD Crimestoppers social media post, the incident took place on March 7 and involved five unidentified individuals targeting a 23-year-old victim.
The suspects allegedly approached the young man, attacked him, and then forcibly removed his possessions. The NYPD 40th Precinct is in charge of the inquiry and has requested the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the perpetrators.
Anyone with information is urged to phone 800-577-TIPS or make an anonymous tip through the NYPD Crime Stoppers website. A reward of up to $3,500 is given for information leading to an arrest.
