North Houston parking lot shooting results in murder charge for son

A man is facing charged of murder  following the tragic incident where his mother was shot and killed in a parking lot in north Houston.

On October 19th, a shooting took place in the parking lot of a hotel located at 222 Airtex Blvd.

Kimberly Alexander, aged 45, was transported to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle, where she was subsequently declared deceased.

In a recent development, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez made an announcement on Friday. According to Sheriff Gonzalez, 19-year-old Dillan Alexander, the son of Alexander, has surrendered himself to the police after being accused of murder in relation to the shooting incident.

According to Sheriff Gonzalez, Alexander has been charged with tampering with evidence.

The reason for the shooting remains unclear at this time.
